Ghost Kitchens are defined as a commercial kitchen and food prep facility that prepares food for delivery only. This means, there is no storefront to be found… it doesn’t exist!

Before COVID-19, we may have considered pizza or Chinese food as our top food delivery options. Now, as many restaurants adapt to new and ever-changing dining guidelines, gourmet take-out from your favourite restaurant has become a perfectly normal thing to do!  Many popular restaurants are renting out space in ghost kitchens to keep up with the demands of takeout and to reduce pressure on their standard restaurant kitchens – having the extra cooking facilities means that a restaurant can keep up with higher than normal volume. Often, ghost kitchens are located just outside of city centres, which also means less expensive rent.

Shipping containers work well because they can be moved around easily based on geographical trends and can be situated wherever there is a need and they can be customized and modified depending on the needs of the client.
